Is it inappropriate for 15 year olds to write sex scenes?

I'm a fifteen year old girl and consider myself to be a pretty good author. I've won several awards from popular authors, been to workshops etc etc. But my question is, do you think it's appropriate to include sex scenes in my novel? Or will that just disgust people?
